Hi,
MBA and PGDM are both management courses yet the only difference is the approach to its curriculum. While MBA is a degree, PGDM is a Diploma but valued more. University abroad offers majorly MBA that may be a year long or two.
The flexibility provided by PGDM is the key success factor of the course.
MBA only provides a degree to institutes associated with a university. While PGDM is not affiliated with any university and has its own syllabus, MBA is offered by universities and colleges affiliated to universities whereas an independent institution offer PGDM.

No, it is not a suitable course for you because you belong to engineering background. But still, if you are strongly interested then pursue it by your wish as it will be very hard and difficult for you to take a turning point by changing your career.
Thank you.

Hello Akhil,
With a score of 80 percentile, it is impossible to get admission into any of the top 10 colleges (for MMS). However, you can apply for PGDM courses of the following reputed colleges: Welingkar, Dalmia and SIES. It is always better to do PGDM from a good college rather than doing MMS from an average/below-average college. Fill and submit the application forms ASAP. Start preparing well for their GDPI rounds. Wish you all the best!

After completing B.Tech, if you will pursue MBA in hospital administration, then there will be no scope for you. For better career growth with opportunities, you should pursue your MBA in operations, technology management, etc.

Hello Raviteja,
There is a great scope in India for hospital administrators in India. With your technical background, it would be great really. Till such time, the population is increasing and hospitals will be required.
