PGDM in finance meets the demand by choosing skills which are required in finance field. A student gets prepared to pursue career in banking, financial consulting, wealth management, etc. A specialization in financial markets will help students understand the role of financial markets, their operations and risk management instruments. You get to learn the role and functions of equities, forex, derivatives, commodity markets. Personally I suggest, PGDM in finance would be a better option as placements would be good in the future as compared to FM and the salary package would be more than FM.

Hi,
Don't lose patience. Try going for any additional course like digital marketing or data analytics which will be an add on in your resume.

IIM, Bangalore does not offer any specialization. However, it offers a large range of finance courses which you can take and build your resume for finance companies.

Hi Ashish,
Since you have 5 years of work experience, a gap year for preparation will stand valid. Universities abroad do understand the need of it. Only caution is to be sure that you need that much of preparation time for GMAT.

Both are equivalent and can fetch good placements, specialization courses are very much in demand, so, you can go with PGDM FM rather than core PGDM.

To leave CA for MBA is not a good option because after completing CA you may get better career options as compared to MBA. If you can manage your time you can pursue both at the same time. Yes, IMT is very good college, so, if possible you can continue both at the same time.
