No, it's not. Obviously, MBBS is an undergraduate degree and Ph.D is done after completing a postgraduate degree.

Firstly, congratulations for raising this query. Psychology is the subject of study in humanities, but psychiatry is the specialization in medical field, where in how to treat a patient is taught. Hence, you can do Ph.D in psychology and MD in psychiatry.

The decision lies not only in your interest, but also the process of selection. The exams, studies procedure to pursue these are very different. You having a Science background isn't enough to decide out of this courses.
