According to NIRF ranking 2025, Kasturba Medical College Mangalore is the only MBBS college in Mangalore ranked "35" by government of India. In the 'Medical' category, Kasturba Medical College ranked in the top 50 in the country for the second consecutive year in 2025.

Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) does not have a management quota. The admissions are purely based on the NEET-UG scores and are conducted through the All India Quota (AIQ) and the Kerala State Quota, both through the respective counseling processes.
