All branches of engineering have similar degree of difficulty and it is not right to say that ME & CE are tough. First year is common to all branches and mathematics is there till 2nd year. Job wise, 90% campus placement is done by IT companies and therefore placement during college campus is difficult for ME/CE. The next factor is the college.
