All branches of engineering have similar degree of difficulty and it is not right to say that ME & CE are tough. First year is common to all branches and mathematics is there till 2nd year. Job wise, 90% campus placement is done by IT companies and therefore placement during college campus is difficult for ME/CE. The next factor is the college. Bigger companies go to only those colleges who have passed out at least 2 batches and have good infrastructure, faculties, networked computers, seminar hall etc. The third factor is the student himself.
