Hello Divesh Sharma, you have raised the query on an issue where there will be as many choices as the number of people whom you ask. In addition the national ranking for the different colleges also comes into play but then it is of no use four years down the line when you will be passing out and hoping to get placed. My personal opinion is that in general NIT trichy would be a much better choiceonly for academics but also for placements. Best wishes to you.

Hello Jayanth, it is very nice to SEE that after completion of your Diploma you are now interested in doing graduation in engineering in aeronautical branch. You have two options of doing this. Firstly you can seek admission in a lateral mode by taking admission in directly 2nd year of engineering colleges in your state. Alternatively you can appear for JEE Mains and then JEE Advanced and seek admission in one of the IIT. However I would like to advise you to think over it again. This is so because the job prospects of an aeronautical engineer are much less as compared with mechanical engineer or an engineer with any other branch. Henc

Dear Sourav, Mechanical engineering is the study, design, development, construction, and testing of mechanical and thermal sensors and devices, including tools, engines, and machines. Mechanical engineers work mostly in engineering services, research and development, and manufacturing. The future and scope of mechanical engineers in India and abroad are very bright. Students who complete mechanical engineering have a plethora of opportunities in the areas of aerospace, automobile, chemical manufacturing plants, railway coach factory, oil exploration, research, and development, among others. Hello Dhruv, cutoffs of various colleges are invariably of the previous years and they naturally depend on the trends of the students of the previous year. This need not be true exactly in the current year. Hence cutoffs will differ in this year as compared to the previous year for different branches since normally every year the trend among the students keep changing. You will need to wait for the actual results to comment to know as where you stand. But the admission process is known to Spring surprises many times. Best wishes to you.

If you are intrigued by machine designs, their mechanics, and dynamics, go for mechanical engineering. Mechanical engineering yields some similarities, the biggest difference between the two careers is what professionals in the field engineer. However, the subject of petroleum engineering touches upon a variety of topics and domains like Economics, Geochemistry, Geology, geomechanics, geophysics, seismology, plate tectonics, thermodynamics, gas production, oil drilling, and many others. Aeronautical engineering is a niche branch with a limited scope on aviation. This is highly technical and full of innovation. Whereas, there is a huge

Mechanical engineering yields some similarities, the biggest difference between the two careers is what professionals in the field engineer. A civil engineer helps design and create buildings, infrastructure, and other large-scale structural projects. The professional life is much, much different between the two. But if you must know, mechanical engineering is more difficult. The core classes use higher-level maths far more than in civil engineering. Aside from that, there is no real difference between difficulties. The scope of higher education is high after B.Tech CSE, and students who are planning to go abroad for higher studies wil
