Yes indeed. MIT Chennai gives admissions to students directly into the second year of engineering after passing of Diploma course. You just need to follow the advertisements that will appear when Diploma examination are held or there about. Best wishes to you.

Doing B.Tech/ B.E. through distance mode is not valid as per UGC guidelines. So never be pursue. AMIE, B.Tech lateral and part time regular are the best available options. Further Karnataka State Open University - Sunshine Academy For Learning, Bangalore is not offering distance B.Tech courses

Hello Shivesh Rai, it is nice to hear from you that you have passed your Diploma in mechanical engineering. However you have not clearly specified as to which course you are seeking admission and for which you are qurrying whether you are eligible or not. In general I can say that it the webpage of the directorate of technical education of your state will be giving in a tabular form as to which branch of engineering you will be eligible as Diploma in mechanical engineering. Hello Kedar, you have indeed brought out a very interesting query. Actually speaking as well as b e both are done after the 12th standard. How were the subjects taught in this courses are quite different. In addition a person needs to get licence from DGCA to work on any aircraft as maintenance person and for this the course of A.M.E. Is a must. But it's three years course that you must remember and I do not think any concessions are given for the engineering graduates who join this course.
