Hi, You can move to the second year of engineering ( lateral entry ) and then complete engineering degree. Soon after Diploma, you can get work experience too or continue with studies in engineering degree.

DTE of Tech Education of every state has a matrix on its website indicating eligible branches of Diploma for each and every branch of engineering for lateral admission. I suggest you download this tabular information, which will answer issue about your state.

After 10th, a student can take admission in Diploma first year. Then, after Diploma if wants to take admission in B.tech/BE by lateral entry can take admission in 2nd year. After doing 12th, admission in B.tech/BE in first year.

Hello Sail, Yes, of course you can seek lateral admission for mechatronics branch. However for this year, the process is already over. You will have to wait for cycle of next year to begin. List of vacancies is announced by dte. Maharashtra every year and hence I would request you to wait for next year. Else you can visit website and download information. Best wishes.
