Mechanical engineering and MBA are whole together a different field. Though, you can do MBA after ME, but if you want to pursue MBA, you have to have a Bachelor's degree. MBA is a management field, so pursue something that is related to business and management for e g. BBA.

Yes, MBA is a good option after B.Tech in mechanical engineering. You can get unto specializations like Operations, Supply Chain, Construction Management, Marketing and Finance. MBA will give you a business aspect of the corporate world. You will be dealing more with trade and business-oriented work. Technical skills + business knowledge is much needed in today's world. Hence it's good to go for MBA after B.Tech.

Hi, With this score in CMAT it is very difficult to get admission in a good Institute. In my opinion, you should work hard and give the next attempt. Coming to the stream in MBA it totally depends upon your interest you can choose any stream. However, Engineer prefer IT management, Marketing, Finance & HR
Operations, General Management, Supply chain are also in high demand. Figure out your area of interest and then decide.
