Nowadays, people are switching from B.Tech to management and commerce. It has good opportunities but be ready to face the new subject. And it's always good to listen to your heart than listening to others. Parents may suggest different courses and fields because of concern. M.Tech is a great career if you get into good colleges. Same with MBA. Anyway go through both the course syllabus and details. Then decide considering the job opportunities and importantly your capabilities and interests
Good luck.

Hello Karthik, Mechanical engineering is one of the core branches of engineering which also forms the base of any engineered product. It is good that you have decided to opt for it. It has a good scope on present and in the future also. The college in which you study the courses is as essential as the course that you have chosen to study. Hence if you are interested then you can take the course and try for the best colleges. All the best!
