Hello Shashank,
Yes, you are eligible for CSIR NET, if you have completed post-graduation in mechanical engineering. According to your branch CSIR NET Physical Sciences is the best option. But, you should have passed it with minimum 55% aggregate marks, if you are from General/OBC or if you are from SC/ST/OBC then you will get 5% relaxation in aggregate marks. To appear for JRF you have to follow age criteria also I. e. the maximum age limit is 28 years. For assistant this age criteria is not applicable. You can apply whenever you want.
