If you want to do part time / distance B.Tech you should go through Institute of Engineers India. They will provide you an AMIE which is equivalent to B.Tech and valid for all government jobs and you are also eligible to appear in GATE for jobs or admission in IIT and NITs.

If you are planning to be a graduate mechanical engineering then you are advised to study PCM at 10+2 stage and appear for engineering entrance examinations. You can also join Diploma in mechanical engineering after 10th and then seek lateral entry admission in B.Tech mechanical engineering. IITs & NITs do not have lateral entry admissions provision therefore if you take Diploma route for mechanical engineering, you will miss options of doing mechanical engineering in best engineering colleges of India.

If you are looking for the best colleges in Canada to do mechanical engineering then go for Centennial College - Toronto, Ontario and George Brown College - Toronto, Ontario. Their fees will be around 6-7 lakhs. Moreover try to score 6.5 or above band score in IELTS exam. Best of luck!

Please see the list below, see if any of the colleges meet your budget requirement and check the individual requirements. You must take IELTS or TOEFL because you are an international student.
