NITs currently do not have provision for lateral entry admission in B.Tech for Diploma holders. You can seek admission by appearing for JEE in first year of engineering as you have done class 12th.

It entirely depends on your interest, if down the line you see yourself at a managerial position and you think you are more inclined and more interested in studying management, you should go for MBA.
But, if you feel you are more interested in learning the technicalities and want to improve your technical skills by learning the nitty gritty, then you should go for M.Tech. So, it entirely about your interest and what you would enjoy learning more.

If you are interested in technical field then go for GATE, many PSUs recruits on the basis of GATE scores. If you are interested in business and management field then MBA is a good option, you can write CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT for the same.

It depends on your IELTS score, your resume and your score in class 12th or graduation. Some of the universities are:
1. University of Ottawa.
2. University of Waterloo.

Hello Vishal,
I am sure by now you would have registered already for GATE 2017. Syllabus for mechanical engineering is also available. Previous year's question papers are also available. You will notice that questions invariably cover complete syllabus. Out of this, you will like some and not like some. But, you must prepare for all. That is the only key to crack this exam.

It is hard for you as you have 11 backlogs and your IELTS score is less. So, chances of visa rejection are more.

Depending on your field of interest, both courses are amazing with equally worth job opportunities. However, with my personal experience, I feel that hospitality sector is not only enticing, but also provides amazing job opportunities.
This sector is one of the fastest growing one and the academics are extremely interesting. My cousin and I pursued an Internship in the hospitality sector and grew overall as a person. She is currently pursuing BBA in hospitality, travel and tourism. You should give it a shot as well.

B.Tech is a course where you cannot be adamant of a location. A course that needs to be paid a lot of attention. I would suggest various other specializations to broaden your area of interest and those that can get you maximum career opportunities such as CSE in cloud computing, cyber security and oil and gas.
A few college recommendations for you are:
1. Thapar University – Patiala.
2. DTU – Delhi.
3. MAIT – Delhi.
4. UTM – Shillong.

Hi,
Mechanical engineering is known as the evergreen branch among all the other branches of engineering. Traditionally, mechanical engineers have to deal with concepts such as mechanics, thermodynamics, robotics, kinematics, structural analysis and fluid mechanics with their applications in automotive sector, power sector, refrigeration and air conditioning sector, aerospace.
Now-a-days the scope of mechanical engineering is expanding beyond its traditional boundaries and is more of inter-disciplinary in nature. Mechanical engineers are focusing their attention towards new areas such as nanotechnology, development of composite materials,

Both the branches have good career growth. Mechanical will be more inclined to manufacturing, operations and supply chain. Electrical will be related to power generation and transmission industries. Electrical will also include subjects from electronics and computer science. PSUs in India do recruit students from electrical and mechanical based on there GATE scores. At the end it's individuals interest to choose the branch.
