For diploma courses in engineering, minimum qualification is 10th passed with maths as one of the subjects. So, in my opinion you can go for diploma in mechanical engineering. All the best.

Hello,
After completion of your engineering in mechanical, specialisation in one of the subjects that was taught during graduation is the most likely course of action. Prospective employers will look at your qualifications. Mostly engineers are employed in maintenance activities. Good if you can get admission in maintenance for PG.

Most of entry level jobs in India are nowadays from campus placement. You may face some challenges in finding job directly in India on completion of B.Tech ME in Australia as a fresher. You can appear for GATE examination to become eligible for job in Public Sector Units. You can also appear in Indian Engineering Services for a central government job. You may seek help of job consultants or job portals for job in India.

Hi Sonu,
It will be extremely tough in Canada as they require very high grades. SPP colleges require atleast 55%. even securing a visa seems tough with the academic track you have. You may look for options in Australia, New Zealand and a few non-conventional countries. Alternate option suitable for you is to enroll into a PG Diploma in India and maintain above 55% without backlogs and then apply to foreign universities.

Both are related to each other, but there is a little difference. I will try to give you some basic idea.
Mechanical engineers focus more on product development and work to design and manufacture new products for customers. Whereas, Production engineers focus more on making manufacturing more resourceful. Product engineers work on the products and process designed by mechanical engineers.
