To get admission in top engineering colleges of India, you should get 60% in class 10th and 12th.

71% is a great score. Anything above 60% is accepted.

You can try to crack GATE, there are number of opportunities for mechanical engineers in PSUs. They recruit on the basis of GATE score only.

You may face challenges in getting admission for MS in Germany based on your academic performance, but it is still worth a try.

For diploma courses in engineering, minimum qualification is 10th passed with maths as one of the subjects. So, in my opinion you can go for diploma in mechanical engineering. All the best.

After completion of your engineering in mechanical, specialisation in one of the subjects that was taught during graduation is the most likely course of action. Prospective employers will look at your qualifications. Mostly engineers are employed in maintenance activities. Good if you can get admission in maintenance for PG.

German Universities are best for MS in Mechanical Engineering because of culture of innovation and R&D. Germany is No 1 in modern manufacturing and Automotive engineering. It is hub for technology.
