Hello Meet,
Here is the list of top colleges in Gujarat for mechanical engineering :
1) Nirma Institute, Ahmedabad
2) DDIT, Nadiad
3) Birla vVshwakarma Vidhyalaya, VV Nagar
4) Vishwakarma Engineering College, Chandkheda
5) PDPULD engineering college, Ahmedabad
These are the good colleges as per my view. Gujarat also has IIT(Gandhinagar) and NIT(SVNIT, Surat), but to get admission there you need to score good in JEE-Mains and JEE-Advanced.

Yes, you can get admission in BE in aeronautical after Diploma in ME. Aeronautical engineering is also a part of mechanical engineering and it involves mechanical engineering. So you are eligible for that. You have to check the colleges offering lateral entry course in aeronautical. Also, one can change the field of study also after Diploma.

Study hard, refer to HC Verma, Arihant, and A Das Gupta for PCM respectively or other any other good book. Solve previous years question papers of JEE Mains exam as it is important to clear this exam with top ranks to get admission in top engineering colleges and don't forget about your boards score. They also play a crucial role in admission as they are a part of the composite score.

Dear Punal,
Since every individual have different requirements and planning, the answer to your question will also differ. There is no specific course which could be tagged as the best. It is up to you, what you want to be or do. You may go for a Masters in mechanical engineering or a specialized Masters in an area of your choice, examples may be material science, manufacturing, transportation design , automotive and automobiles, management engineering and so many.
