There is no fix criteria that a engineering student should do that or a commerce background student must do that, you just need to require a Bachelor degree to do MBA with minimum 50% marks after its totally depend on your interest and choice which specialization you want to choose because in MBA all the fields are special all the fields have something special to set your career and make your future better. u can choose one of the specialization after Mech engineering.

Hello Prem,
It is the best to pursue mechanical engineering at the graduation level. Firstly, its one of those 'perpetual' branches for which job prospects will always be available. Secondly, after obtaining degree in this branch, possibilities are endless if you want to do PG. Automobiles is of course possible. But you never know what situation would be when you want to take the plunge. Many more exciting offers may be available. On the other hand if you opt for Automobile Engineering at Graduation level, your options for PG get really limited. Hence my advise, go for mechanical engineering without any hesitation.

Indian IT industry is slowly losing it's prime position because of global economical conditions and outcry against outsourcing. Creation of fresh jobs in the industry has reduced to single digit. Salary are stagnated for the last few years. Industry prefers B.Tech CSE/ IT and MCA graduates who are ready to be deployed on the projects easily without much effort. Therefore, you are advised to look for opportunities in mechanical engineering only.
