GRE Eligibility

Candidates eligible to request a GMAT or GRE waiver for admission to the MBA programme at Cornell University typically need to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills through various means. Students who meet one or more of the following requirements are eligible to request a waiver:

• Earned a STEM, business, or analytical/quantitative- focused undergraduate or graduate degree, maintaining a 3.0 GPA, second class upper division honors, or international equivalent. We accept international credential evaluations that demonstrate this.
• Hold a CPA or CFA certification or international equivalent.
• Post-undergraduate, full-time work experience in an analytical or quantitative function, demonstrated on resume.

The Graduate Record Examination, or GRE is administered by ETS. The results of this test are accepted for admission to prestigious universities worldwide and are valid for five years. The top universities, such as Stanford, accept GRE scores for admission to MBA courses. The eligibility criteria to apply for the GRE exam are as follows:
1. Age limit: There is no age limit to take this exam, and you can consider giving the GRE at any stage of your career.
2. Education criteria: Since the GRE exam score is accepted for postgraduate courses such as MS and MBA, you need to have completed graduation to appear for this exam.
3. Furthermore, the GRE is divided into two types: general and subject tests. The GRE general test is conducted all year, whereas the GRE subject test is a specific entrance exam for Masters programs in select subjects, such as psychology.
