As a minimum criterion of eligibility, aspiring candidates need to have completed 10+2 or equivalent qualification with physics, chemistry, biology and ideally Sanskrit as main subjects.

Hi Naveed,
For UG courses a score of 6 with no section less than 5.5 is preferred so you may be considered, check with the colleges if they still require higher scores because it depends on the college. Keeping aside the IELTS score you must also have the relevant education background and good percentile.

Hi Prabh,
I am sure you must have had PCM as your subjects in 12th. If you and if you are interested in mathematics field I can suggest you to go for B.Sc maths honors and if you can then college like Indian statistical Institute(ISI) is very good and Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI), Chennai. If you are able to get in one. It has its own entrance examinations. You may search for other colleges too which give you a good scope in mathematics.
