The minimum NEET percentage required for MBBS depends on the category to which the candidate belongs to. For exam the minimum cutoff for unreserved categories is 50%, while for SC/ST and OBC it is 40%. The Medical counselling committee or MCC releases the minimum marks or the cut off marks. There are several factors that are considered for determining the minimum marks. They are the total number of candidates attempting the NEET exam, difficulty level of NEET exam, total seats available, format of the exam, Normalisation method. Yes, there will be a negative marking. For each incorrect response, one mark will be deducted. The NEET PG exam is conducted online in English medium. A total of 200 questions are asked in the exam, each question carry 4 marks that is total of 800 marks. For each incorrect answer 1 marks is deducted.

JIPMER Puducherry inducts candidates for the MBBS programme based on valid NEET-UG scores followed by the counselling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
