The minimum NEET percentage required for MBBS depends on the category to which the candidate belongs to. For exam the minimum cutoff for unreserved categories is 50%, while for SC/ST and OBC it is 40%. The Medical counselling committee or MCC releases the minimum marks or the cut off marks. There are several factors that are considered for determining the minimum marks. Yes, there will be a negative marking. For each incorrect response, one mark will be deducted. The NEET PG exam is conducted online in English medium. A total of 200 questions are asked in the exam, each question carry 4 marks that is total of 800 marks. For each incorrect answer 1 marks is deducted.

Students are selected for the MBBS programme at Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital (SBMCH) in Chennai based on thier NEET UG scores. The Directorate General of Health Sciences in New Delhi conducts the counseling. 
 
The minimum eligibility criteria for MBBS at SBMCH are:
