Yes, you can do an M.Sc. In microbiology after a B.Sc. (honors) in Zoology. To pursue an M.Sc. In microbiology, most colleges simply require that you hold a Bachelor's degree in Science. Few colleges may require you to have at least a 50% grade point average in your graduate degree. Also, you may have to qualify for the CUET-PG to get admission into a government college, but private colleges provide direct admission to B.Sc. Graduates. Some top colleges offering the M.Sc. In Microbiology course include:
1. Fergusson College
2. Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College
3. Sister Nivedita University
4. Barrackpore Rastraguru Surendranath College.

If you want decent job opportunities, you can go for higher studies such as a master's in Microbiology. After graduating with a BSc In Microbiology, you can pursue the following careers:

  • Microbiologist: You can apply for assistant-level positions after completing your B.Sc.
  • Teacher: You will have to complete a B.Ed. Degree or an M.Sc. To be eligible for a teaching position.

B.Sc. Hons. Microbiology is a 3-year full-time undergraduate course in Microbiology. Eligibility for the course is 10+2 or an equivalent examination in a science stream from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 55% of marks.
The college has one of the best labs in India for microbiology. The labs have good equipment.
Christians - 60 % for both Biological and Non biological subjects.
General category - 88% for biological subjects and 90% for non biological subjects
SC/ST - 70% for both biological and non biological
OBC- 84.2% for both biological and non biological
PH- 49.38%

Yes, B.Sc. Microbiology is a 3 year full-time Degree course. The general requirement is a candidate should have passed the 12th board exams with 45% in the PCB.

Lady Brabourne College is an institution for women's education in Kolkata, India. The college admits undergraduates and post-graduates, and awards degrees from the University of Calcutta. In order to get admission in Microbiology at Lady Brabourne college, Kolkata there is a requirement of clearing an entrance exam along with scoring minimum 90% in Boards. The St Xavier's College Mumbai is an Autonomous College. It's the best College for the MS studies in the Mumbai. The College is located at the Fort area of Mumbai. It provides the Best Master's Education for the Microbiology Field. The last Academic Year Cutoff was around 94%. This year the Cutoff would gradually increase.

Following are the M.Sc. Microbiology eligibility criteria to be followed by the candidates:
Marksheets of classes X and XII are required with a minimum percentage of 50% or more. A Bachelors Degree in Microbiology from a recognised university or an equivalent with a minimum mark of 55% or more. For institutes which hold an entrance exam, students must clear the entrance exam and make it to the cut off or merit list.
