To get admission in a two-year postgraduate course, M.Sc. in Microbiology, the student needs to register online, and admission would be on the basis of an online entrance exam conducted by the university.
The eligibility criteria are: BSc with microbiology as one of the subjects, BSc Blended, BSc Nanoscience, or Nanotechnology, with 50% marks for the open category and 45% marks for the reserved category.
The syllabus for the entrance exam is simply the BSc Microbiology syllabus at graduate level.
The duration of the test is 60 minutes, and questions are usually multiple-choice questions with one third negative marking for every wrong answer.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education. For candidates to be considered for teaching positions through NVS, they must have minimal educational requirements. The eligibility criteria for TGT (Science) is as follows: (a) A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a recognised university with 50% marks or above in aggregate, as well as in Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry. (b) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed. ) or an equivalent degree from a recognised university. (c) The ability to teach in English, Hindi, or the relevant regional language. (d) Should have passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE. Therefore, you are not eligible to apply for TGT (Science).
