B.Sc. In agriculture in India is a 4 year graduate course consisting of topics such as plant genetics, entomology, plant pathology, horticulture, soil Science, agricultural economics, etc. The main aim of this course is to improve agriculture productivity scientifically. The career opportunities in this area include government sector jobs in banks (involved in sanctioning of Agricultural loans) and other state based plantation boards. Private sector jobs include serving at the managerial level in Plantations, Agricultural Machinery industry, officer level posts in Fertilizer manufacturing companies etc. One can even go for research and development sector after the requisite.
