Yes, there is a Combined Biotechnology Entrance Examination (CBEE) conducted by Jawahar Lal Nehru University, New Delhi. Admission is based on the marks obtained in the exam.

You need to qualify entrance exam for agriculture. A candidate has to be a B.Sc graduate in agriculture/ horticulture/ forestry / agri biotech or B.Sc. Hons in science from a recognised university in order to be eligible for this course. Yes, in India many universities conduct their own entrance exam for admission for M.Sc course such as Delhi University, Panjab University, JNU and many others.
