I will suggest you to go for B.Sc./B.Tech Biotechnology, as biotechnology is more diverse field compared to microbiology.
As correctly defined by UN Convention on Biological Diversity, Art. 2, “Any technological application that uses biological systems, living organisms or derivatives thereof, to make or modify products or processes for specific use". Once you will start your course you will be introduced different streams of Biotechnology such as Animal cell culture, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Embryology, Genetics, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Biochemical Engineering, Plant Biotechnology, Bioengineering and Molecular Biology.

Agriculture engineering is best. You have chances for government jobs in the same field, but for other branch like biotech and microbiology, they have less chances of government job as compare to agriculture.
