I would straightaway recommend you to apply to Australian universities since mining is the biggest sector. Please check for relevant courses in Curtin University, UNSW, Monash University, Charles Stuart University and a number of colleges and TAFE institutes.

Engineering through distance education mode. This concept in itself is now at stake with the latest directive by UGC. It is advised that you should think of something else.

This Institute has grand name, but does it really have the wherewithal? Various pointers are not very satisfactory. I would advise you to give it a miss. Also there was news recently that UGC has asked all distance education providers to desist from conducting courses that require extensive practicals.

It's very nice to know that you want to join mining engineering after having already done engineering once. So you are aware of entrance exams and eligibilities. Mist state govt's have upper age limit. But perhaps deemed universities do not. You can choose one of these to get admission.

It's very nice to think of career in mining. But presently, one needs 12th science to be eligible to get admission in any of the engineering courses. Therefore, I am afraid that you will have to think of a different career.
