Established in 1978 with a B.Arch degree under Mysore University the Manipal School of Architecture and Planning is a constituent of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (NAAC accredited). MSAP is ranked 15 in the country for NIRF 2022 and is approved by the Council of Architecture (COA), New Delhi. Its NIRF Ranking in 2023 is #25

To be eligible for the PhD programme in Architecture at MIT School of Architecture, MIT ADT University, you have a PG degree (Master's) in Architecture with a minimum of 55% aggregate and qualify the PhD Entrance Test (PET) conducted by MIT ADT University. Additionally, student must appear for an interview after clearing the PET exam.
