The admissions at IIFT Kolkata is entrance based and not merit based. The entrance test for the admission is IIFT entrance test which is conducted by the NTA.

The cutoff for the CAT examination is about 60 percentile. The students are should be with an minimum aggregation of 50 percentage in the under graduation course.

Admission to BN College of Engineering and Technology is based on both. In undergraduate courses like BE, 85% seats are filled on the basis of UPSE scores and academic qualifications in the qualifying test, while 15% seats are filled through management quota In postgraduate courses like M.Tech fam, UPSEE scores and academic merit are determined on the basis of 85%. The admissions at IIMC, Kottayam are merit-based. The candidates who have qualified the online IIMC entrance exam conducted by NTA are eligible to apply for the admission.
