Amity University Mumbai is a good enough place to pursue Engineering studies. Syllabus is, no doubt, way better than University of Mumbai. Most of the students get their preferred stream without much issues. Faculties are quite supporting. Since the college is new, and the labs have come up in the recent past (multiple labs are still under construction and equipments yet to be delivered, but don't worry, you will need those labs only in 3rd or 4th year, other labs are ready), most of the equipments available are in working condition. So far there had been no placements in the campus as the University started only in 2014. The University has successfully set up a Corporate Relations Office within its campus, for placements for job and internship opportunities. At Amity University Mumbai, the crowd is good and all are interested in studies as they get admissions to their preferred streams. To sum up, in my opinion, Amity University Mumbai is better than many other colleges, and is much similar to MIT, Manipal. I should suggest you to prefer Amity over any other local college, join Amity only if you do not get admission in other reputed institutes like IITs, NITs, BITS, and others like VJTI, DJ Sanghvi.
