Hello,
While many music producers are also good sound engineers, sound engineers don't necessarily make good music producers. The main difference is that while both professionals have a healthy understanding of the technical aspects of music production, producers also have a hefty dose of artistic and creative vision to make a recording the best it can be. I hope this answers your question. If you have any further questions, kindly revert.

Firstly, you should have professional degree in science , arts or commerce and opt for your passion side by side.
If you feel confident enough toopt for science with PCB and pursue your career in the research based programme, otherwise, you can change your field after 12th.
Check your calibre and interest for your career options.
All the best.

# Beatfactory (Mumbai & Delhi) [Behind the success of Sartek & Kerano]
# Audioqube (Mumbai)
# Electronyk Academy (Delhi) (owner is DJ Nyk)
# True School of Music (Mumbai)
Why am I recommending these? Because I know students who have learned from there and are succeeding in the field of EDM at the moment.
However, a lot of people still think studying music abroad is a better option. Maybe it is since EDM is more popular outside. But it is expensive and job guarantees are close to ZERO.
I would strongly suggest you keep music as a full passionate hobby until you done with your graduation, you never know, not
