No, NIT Calicut does not accept NATA scores for admission to the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) course. The institute offers admission to BArch based on JEE Main paper-II scores only. In addition, for selection it is crucial that the aspirant also meet the eligibility requirements for BArch course, which is Class 12 pass from a recognised board.

No. The authorities of CoA have never released the list of NATA toppers. However, if the list of toppers are announced, then it will be available here. Since there is no common counselling process, the marks obtained by the candidates will be deciding factor for admissions. Candidates will have to apply individually to their preferred colleges/institutes offering BArch courses. Allotment will be done based on the candidate's scores obtained in the entrance examination.

If two or more candidates secure the same score in NATA 2023, then the authorities will follow the tie-breaking guidelines that has been prepared beforehand. Candidates who have secured higher marks in the 10+2th standard qualifying examination will be given a higher rank. However, the admission and merit list criteria will be different for every college. Therefore before applying for admission, the candidates are advised to check the admission guidelines of their preferred colleges carefully.

No, The CoA authorities do not provide any relaxation in the NATA qualifying marks for those candidates who belong to the reserved category. All candidates, irrespective of their category, will be required to secure the minimum qualifying marks to be eligible for BArch admissions. However, the candidates may face some relaxation in the admission cutoff while applying to the BArch courses offered by their preferred colleges or institutes.

NATA score is valid for two academic years. With their obtained scores, candidates will only be able to apply for colleges in that admission year and the following year. The score will be invalid if candidates use it for admissions after two years. If the candidates wish to apply for admissions after two years, then they will be required to retake the entrance examination. Requests for extension of the score validity will not be entertained by the authorities. Therefore, the candidates are advised to immediately apply for admissions after they receive their scores.

After NATA results are announced by the authorities of CoA, the candidates will have two options. First, if the candidate is not satisfied with their obtained scores, then they can apply to attempt the remaining examination sessions of NATA. If the candidate is satisfied with their obtained score or there is no more attempts left, then they can apply for admissions into their preferred institute. Since there is no common counselling conducted by CoA, the candidates will have to apply individually to their preferred colleges/institutes.

No. The authorities of CoA will not prepare the NATA merit list. Since no common counselling process is conducted for the qualified candidates, there is no need for a NATA merit list. The qualified candidates will be required to apply individually to their preferred colleges. The merit list for admissions will be prepared by the colleges for their separate BArch admission process. The candidates are advised to carefully check the eligibility and admission criteria for admission into their preferred institute.

In case candidates are satisfied with scores in first session of NATA, and are sure that it will lead to admissions into preferred institutes, then they are not required to attempt further examination sessions. However, candidates are advised to check previous year cutoffs to be sure that obtained scores are enough for admissions. The candidates are advised to attempt more than one session of NATA, because best of scores will be considered for admission. Attempting all tests of NATA will give an advantage to candidates to obtain score they require for admission into preferred institute/college.
