To ensure proper management & administrative ease, the university was divided into Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU) & Mahamaya Technical University (MTU), from 1 May 2010.

AKTU Admission Process and Important Dates 2026

AKTU admission 2026 to various courses offered at UG, PG, and doctorate levels are granted either based on merit in previous qualifying degrees or national-level entrance exams such as CUET, NATA, JEE Main, etc. The mode of application is online. For admission to its BTech programme, APJ Abdul Kalam University Lucknow accepts the JEE Main scores.

Candidates must register for the UPTAC Counselling after appearing for the JEE Main exam to get admission to the AKTU BTech programme. Admission to BPharm, MBA, and other courses is through CUET. Candidates can check the AKTU admission dates in the table provided below:
