It is recommended that candidates thoroughly review the NATA syllabus in order to ensure they are adequately prepared for the entrance exam. Candidates should know that the syllabus will emphasise evaluating them on their aptitude and drawing abilities, thus they should get ready for NATA in that regard. NATA is held annually to select eligible candidates for BArch admissions into the participating institutes. The examination helps to assess the candidate's innate ability thorugh a variety of testing formats and cannot be taught, learned or induced. NATA also helps to measure the aptitude of the candidate for a specific field of study i.e., Architecture, through assessment of cognitive skills, visual perception and aesthetic sensitivity tests, logical reasoning and critical thinking ability, etc., besides the learning that the candidate has acquired over the past few years and is related to the specific field of study.

No. NATA 2023 will be conducted as a single section examination. Previously, the authorities used to include separate sections of Mathematics and Drawing in the NATA 2023 syllabus. However, currently the paper only consists of one section that is to test the aptitude of the candidates. However, the general knowledge of the candidates related to mathematics and drawing may be assessed in the aptitude section. Candidates are advised to be prepared well as per the syllabus of NATA 2023.

The minimum marks required in class 12th board to get admission in government colleges, if you score 120+ marks in NATA will vary from college to college. However, in general, you should aim for a score of at least 80% in your class 12th board exams. This will give you a good chance of getting admission to a good government college.
