NID is a design college where design in varied fields is taught whereas UCEED conducts exams to get students for IITs and some design colleges also. IITs have seats reserved for the students coming through UCEED.

You have to be not less than 17 years (must complete 10+2). They give three attempts in admission. There is no age limit as such for NID.

For B. Des - 10+2 in any stream from any recognised board
For M.Des - Bachelor's degree of 4 years duration.

In my opinion, NID is tougher to clear as compared to AIEED as no. Of seats are limited. Being one of the premier institutes in design, its harder to clear the entrance test.

You should definitely go for National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad over Apeejay Satya University. It is a government college and the best college for design in India and comes under the list of top 50 colleges all over the world. It provides quality education and design knowledge.
