National Institute of Fashion Technology Kannur is a government institute established in 2008. It offers BDes programme for a duration of four years in four specialisations. It has a great infrastructure and is equipped with great facilities, well-equipped design studios, a well-stocked library, computer labs etc. It offers BDes programme for a duration of four years in four specialisations. Candidates are required to appear for NIFT Entrance Exam and the students are accepted on the basis of merit. National Institute of Fashion Technology Kannur is a government institute established in 2008. It offers B.Des under four specializations they are-:
B.Des. (Fashion Design)
B.Des. (Textile Design)
B.Des. (Knitwear Design)
B.Des. (Fashion Communication)
The Basic Eligibility Criteria - 12th Pass. The candidate must have cleared 10+2 examination of any recognised board or he/she must have secured a passing grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
And basic Admission Criteria is the NIFT Entrance test.

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Kannur was established in 2008. It is ranked 9th amongst the 16 NIRF institutes across India. The National Institute of Fashion Technology Kannur accepts NIFT entrance exam for admission to the B.Des course. NIFT cutoff 2023 was concluded for the academic year 2023-24. As per the NIFT Kannur cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank for B.Des was 1279 for the General category students for the All India quota. For 2022 and 2021, NIFT Kannur last round closing ranks for B.Des stood at 1631 and 1666.
