The cut-offs will be prepared by considering factors like the seat intake, the merit rank of candidates, admission category, etc. Note that if the seat intake is increase the cut-off would likely go down and vice versa.

The admit card has been relesed online at the admission portal of NTA NIFT - nift.ntaonline.in. To download the admit card, you need to log in using your application number and date of birth.

The NIFT 2024 admit card will be released separately for the written exams and the Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

The admit cards for the Situation Test/ Personal Interview will be released later, around April 2024.

A comparison between both the NIFTs is presented below for their BDes programmes:

For MDes admission, a candidate should complete and passed a bachelor's degree programme from a recognised university in the relevant stream. The candidate should hold the valid degree and mark sheets as well. These documents can be required for submission during form filling or admission confirmation for details verification.

NIFT is a national-level design entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). The exam is conducted once every year and it consist of two parts, i.e, first one is, written exam and second is, situation test/personal interview.

• Written Exams - It comprise the GAT and CAT. The GAT paper is mandatory for all programs, while only BDes and MDes candidates need to take the CAT. 
• Situation Test/ Personal Interview - BDes candidates who get shortlisted have to appear in the Situation Test, whereas PG candidates need to appear in a Personal Interview. The only exception is BFTech program, where the admission merit list will be prepared solely based on GAT scores.    

The FINAL score of NIFT 2024 for the other programs will be prepared by giving weightage to the written exams and Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

The scores or merit rank of NIFT will be considered for admission to design courses offered by the NIFT participating institutes. Currently, there are 18 participating institutes that offer the following courses - BDes, MDes, BFTech, MFTech, and MFM courses.

To get into B.Des at NIFT Kannur, you need a good score in the NIFT Entrance Exam (NIFT-EE). The institute doesn't specify exact score requirements, but aiming for a competitive score is advised. For the current academic year (2022–2023), the hostel price is Rs. 46000, excluding mess fees. In addition to the foregoing, new participants must pay a non-refundable security deposit of Rs. 3000 and a refundable security deposit of Rs. 3000, for a total of Rs. 52000 for non-AC rooms with triple occupancy. Charges for triple occupancy AC rooms will be Rs. 90,000 plus Rs. 6,000 in refundable security, for a total of Rs. 99,000 (subject to construction completion). It could vary in accordance with authority decisions, and any changes would be announced separately.
In addition, one month's worth of Mess fees may be applied for Mess Security. 

Students are required to pay the application fee to submit the form and complete the application process of NIFT Kannur. It is non-refundable.
