Students enrolled in it get to choose from various specialisations including, Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and more.  Admission to these courses is made based GATE socres.

Admission to NIT Uttarakhand is based on the entrance exams, followed by an interview or counselling. For UG course such as BTEch, the university accepts JEE MAIN score and for PG course such as MTech, NIT Uttarakhand accepts the merit scores of GATE exam.
