In the case of merchant navy, you can get in by joining RL Institute of Nautical Science by taking up GP Rating or B.Tech in Nautical Science courses. For GP Rating, it requires a minimum of a 10th pass with 40% marks in Science, English, and Math. For the more advanced courses, you must qualify for 12th-grade, requiring Physics, Chemistry, and Math. You have to clear entrance exams like IMU-CET along with medical checks and physical requirements to be admitted. After clearing the course, you can find a great opportunity in the merchant navy.

hope it helps
