Graduation in Marine Engineering: Eligibility
The minimum criteria of eligibility for this course are divided between two main requirements- educational and medical.
Educational Qualifications
BE/ B.Tech degree holders in mechanical or naval architecture disciplines are eligible to pursue this course. Minimum marks criteria may exist in the case of some institutes. Generally, the minimum eligible score for admission lies between 50-60% aggregate marks in the BE/ B.Tech programme.

Hello Abhinav,
It's good to know your dream. There are two ways of getting into merchant Navy. One as an officer and the other as sailor. Both are equally good. Since life involves some hardships, pay & allowances are extremely good. Many companies in this field have schools for training as sailor including shipping corporation of India . You will get required information from their webpage.

You are not eligible to seek admission in B.Sc Nautical Science unless you have PCM subjects in 10+2 stage. You are advised to appear for additional Maths subject examination in 10+2 to become eligible for seeking admission in B.Sc Nautical Science.

Hello Shivam,
Merchant Navy officers are working along ships. These sail in waters and as a result you are away from home for long periods of time. So, to compensate, many companies offer such arrangement but it's not the rule.

NCC Special Entry:
