The BTech in Naval Architecture syllabus includes core subject modules, programme electives, lab work, and industrial projects. There is no room for customization when it comes to the core subjects because of their role in providing fundamental knowledge of shipbuilding and marine maintenance.
But the elective subjects do give you some scope for customization, as you can pick the subjects based on your interests and understanding, the ones that align with your future plans and are relevant as per market demands.

This completely depends on your individual interests and future career choices. Both options have their own upsides. If you want to explore the advanced-level aspects of marine vessels, ship design and building, and seakeeping, you can go ahead and apply for an M.Tech degree in Naval Architecture.
On the other side, if you're satisfied with your 4-year BTech in Naval Architecture journey, you can look for a job in the shipbuilding industry, naval forces, and offshore engineering firms, where recruiters are on the lookout for talented and skilled people and offer them decent salaries.
