The NEET MDS cut off is the qualifying marks that a candidate needs to clear the exam and participate further in the counselling process. Candidates who fail to get the cutoff marks do not get into the merit list and are also ineligible for the NEET MDS counselling.

NBE or the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the NEET MDS exam conducting authority, releases the cutoff scores or the qualifying scores along with the result. The NEET MDS 2025 result was released on May 15, 2025. The NEET MDS 2025 cutoff was also released on the same date. However, on August 14, 2025, NBE released a notice stating the reduction of the NEET MDS 2025 cutoff percentile by 19.863 percentile for all categories, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare recommendation.

Yes, solving previous years NEET MDS question papers plays a vital role and has been proven beneficial as well. Solving previous years question papers helps the candidate to analyse themselves thoroughly and gives a clear picture of their exam preparations. Candidates get a proper insight into their current situation and help them strategise and plan their preparations accordingly. However, NBE or the exam conducting body does not release the NEET MDS question papers. Hence, students can either rely on their mentors or professors, or previous year candidates' memory based questions.

It is expected that the NEET MDS syllabus 2026 will be the same as last year. Last year also, there was no change in the NEET MDS syllabus. The syllabus of NEET MDS is based on the BDS curriculum, which they had studied while pursuing their undergraduate Dental course. Talking about the NEET MDS syllabus, the exam conducting authority NBE has stated, "The syllabus for the exam shall be that of BDS standard and shall cover all the subjects/syllabus taught during the BDS course as prescribed in the DCI Revised BDS Course Regulations, 2007 as amended from time to time."

Topics such as Dental Materials, General Medicine and General Surgery carry approximately 14 marks each in the NEET MDS entrance exam. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) does not release the exact topic-wise weightgae of NEET MDS exam. Moreover, the past year NEET MDS question papers are also not released by NBE. Hence, the exact makrs or weightage prediction is difficult. The approximate weightage mentioned here is based on previous years' student reactions.

The NEET MDS admit card should be printed in coloured ink. A coloured printout of NEET MDS admit card is clearer and give a better view of the photograph. NBEMS has stated,  "The admit card containing 2 pages MUST be printed in COLOUR on a single A4 size white paper (BACK to BACK)."

The NEET MDS admit card is valid for one year. Since NEET MDS exam is conducted once a year, the admit card is also valid for one year. Candidates must preserve the admit card or hall ticket carefully till the admission process is over. Since the admit card is one of the documents for counselling rounds or the document verification process,
