It will take at least 3 to 4 years, maybe more, to secure the tuition fee amount hence setting off the cost of pursuing education at NIFT be it on loan or otherwise. The average pay scale post NIFT for all courses hovers in the range of 4 to 5 LPA with yearly variations. The center from which you're pursuing the programme is important for it may increase or decrease the uncertainty regarding industry opportunities (risk factor). Centralized placements are a promise of equal opportunity. Not equal consideration. There is center bias in form of preference for students of top centers in the recruitment approach adopted by several major industry players. If you're financially unsound, and opting for an NRI seat, it's going to be added pressure not only during the length of programme but also post its culmination in absence of a healthy salary (beginning pay scales in Fashion industry are generally on the lower side). Moving beyond tuition fees, miscellaneous expenses will swell the total amount incurred on education by at least 15 to 25% if not more. Keeping all these expenses in mind, not swaying by the brand name and taking overall placements record into contention, I would state that NRI seat is a bad investment (on loan or otherwise) for economically weak students. No issues at all if you are from a financially well off setup.

These days, universities also offer the credit transfer course. Like if you want to go abroad fro higher studies abroad, you can take the credit transfer course of B.Tech in LPU where in due to the tie ups of the university with universities abroad you can do your first two years in LPU and the third and fourth year abroad and you will be awarded the degree of the foreign country university. You can log in to check this scheme from the website of LPU under the credit transfer schemes or check from the help lines given on their web site. Masters abroad scheme also can be checked.
