NIFT doesn't provide any Diploma courses all you have the degree courses to choose from. Courses provided by NIFT:
Undergraduate (UG) Programs
Bachelor of Design (B. Des) Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B. F. Tech ). Postgraduate (PG) Programs
Master of Design (M. Des) Master of Fashion Technology (M. F. Tech). Master of Fashion Management (M. F. M).

Dear Sababvat,
NIFT is the 2nd best in the country after NID. If you get through NIFT, there is no looking back. Do not get bothered so much about the rankings. Trust me, I have also done designing although long back. However, there is still so much demand for fresh graduates from NIFT and very well paid.

Hi,
If you have cleared everything and only counseling session is left, then you will get your user id and password via email from NIFT, or you can call NIFT and ask.

If you are capable of self-study then you can do it yourself. Alternatively, if you cannot then you have to join coaching classes of preparation for NIFT/NID.
Arihant is a good book for preparation.

Yes, NIFT is very good for designing courses, either Bachelor or Masters.
