In order to get admission in NIFT, you are required to appear for NIFT Entrance Exam. NIFT offers B.Des programme in Fashion Design, Leather Design, Accessory Design, Textile Design, Knitwear Design and Fashion Communication. The NIFT Entrance Exam is divided into four sections which are Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT), Situation Test and Group discussion/ Personal Interview. If you are asking for important topics for NIFT entrance, then these depend on the type of course you want to opt for. For example, if you want to be a design student then apart from general aptitude, your design ability would be checked. General aptitude covers basic mathematics. 10th standard book is sufficient for this. You can score good marks in general knowledge if you are aware about current TV ads. You should also be aware about brand ambassador of certain clothing brands. Apart from this, creative ability test is a situation based test where you will be checked on your creativity. Otherwise, if you want to be a part of any technical course like MFT, a single test would be conducted for you covering general ability test.
