It is definitely possible but each fashion institute has its own eligibility criteria. Some may allow admission to a candidate hailing from any educational background while others would prefer a candidate who has done graduation in design field itself. You will have to check the criteria of all the colleges that you are interested in. For example: Pearl Academy will not consider your application for the Masters programme but NID and NIFT would accept the application as the admission criteria is solely dependent on how you perform in the entrance exam. Keep reading the newspaper (especially around November-December) It'll help you in GK part of GAT and help you generate better ideas. Most questions in CAT are related to current scenarios. For example- Make in India was started in late 2014 and in the 2015 ent

I may be the best person to answer this question as I have been through the NIFT interview. It was not that interesting as I expected but, was really entertaining.
It started with:
1) Tell your educational background
2) Why did you decide to switch from (your field) to fashion?
3) How are you going to align your previous education with fashion industry?
4) How pursuing Master from NIFT will boost your career?
6) What line of career would you choose after the completion of the course? I was well prepared for all the above questions so answered quickly with confidence. Then suddenly interviewer asked, Do you watch movies? I said yes,
Taking an Exam? Selecting a College?
