Yes, it is possible to get a job in Adidas if you apply and you have the required skills even if you pursue B.Tech in apparel production from NIFT. Just make sure your sgpa is good enough and you have a nice portfolio.

The NIFT entrance exam are held in the second week of February every year. The forms are out by the month of November and the last date is usually in the month of January. The exam consist of two levels. The first level consist of CAT (Creative Ability Test) and GAT (General Ability Test) which generally test your IQ and basic drawing skills. It is a written test. After clearing the first level, the second level is the Situation Test where one is given 14-15 materials and is asked to make a 3D model. Clearing all the two level one gets a rank with which he/she can sit for NIFT counselling and get through.

Hi Sharmili. According to the last year's cut off, you can get the following campus of NIFT: Kannur, Patna, Raebareli, Shillong, Srinagar, Bhopal, Kangra, Jodhpur, Bhuwaneshwar and Chennai. Though you can get lucky and get a better campus. All the best. :)

Fashion Communication is like the core of the whole business of fashion. It includes Photography, Styling, Visual Merchandising, Graphic Designing, Fashion Journalism, Space Design, Advertising, Art Direction, Retain Brand Management and many more. Basically this is that one department under B. design in NIFT, which just doesn't deal with production of clothes but is involved in all the other aspects.

Being a student from NIFT itself, I wont disagree that the course is pretty expensive but then as compared to other colleges it's cheaper. Leaving that apart, in the fashion industry, no one gets a placement like an MBA student does in the start. But it is definitely worth it in the long run if you do well in the industry.

Among the three colleges you have mentioned that is NIFT, MAEER and MIT Institute of Design, according to my research and own experience, NIFT, Delhi is best to pursue fashion designing. NIFT provides Bachelor of Design degree in fashion designing after a 4 year course.

No, NIFT doesn't provide Bachelor of Design Degree in Interior Designing. But you can go for fashion and lifestyle accessories (F & LA) as it includes homes decor and relative designing. NIFT provides you a B.Design degree in F & LA which is a 4 year course.

Hello Muskan,
It's very nice to know your dream of working in field of fashion designing. If you can both courses simultaneously then you can think of it. But both are very intense courses.
