You can call up the fashion management department and tell them what you're looking for and they can suggest the right course.
Some courses you could look up are Fashion Enterprise and Business Management or Garment Export Merchandising Management.

Congratulations, for clearing CAT and GAT. For situation test, if you think you are capable of practicing 3D model making and all at home itself, then I don't think you really need any coaching as everything is mentioned online and you can easily get videos on YouTube. But if you are a lazy person who doesn't make efforts without being pushed, then I will say joining a coaching will be better. All the best.

Fashion Communication is one of the best department and the highest placement recruits goes usually from this department. The career options includes Photography, Styling, Visual Merchandising, Graphic Designing, Fashion Journalism, Space Design, Advertising, Art Direction, Retain Brand Management and many more. It is definitely a good career option and one of the most demanding one in the generation of technology.

Every department is better in their own way. Selection of department depends completely on a person's preference. Bachelors of design is a 4-year course in which the first year is the foundation programme which is common for all department. From the second year, the specialisation starts. If one is interested in designing clothes and fabrics, he/she should opt for Fashion Design/Textile Design/Knitwear Design. If one is interested in Graphic designing, photography, fashion journalism then he/she should opt fashion communication. Passport details are not required for the admission in NIFT. You will just need your Aadhar card and birth certificate at the most. The other requirements are always clearly mentioned in the admission forms. One can call the nodal officer allotted to them for any such queries.

NIFT-Mumbai comes under one of the top campuses of NIFT. You should definitely go for it. You can even try other campus of NIFT like Delhi, Bangalore, or Kolkata, or you can even try Pearl Design Academy.

NIFT conducts a common board exam all over India for it's admission be it on any campus. The forms are out by the month of November and the last dates are usually in the month of January. One can easily avail the forms from the official website of NIFT i.e. nift.ac.in. The exam is held in the second week of February. For further details, you can check the college website.

If you're planning to go for a graduation course (B.Des), the eligibility criteria are:
1. The maximum age limit to get admission in NIFT for Bachelors programme is 23 years as on 1st October, 2016. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribe/ Differently Abled Person (PHP) subject to following qualifications.
2. Passing 10+2 with an aggregate of 45% marks.
Departments: Fashion Design, Knitwear Design, Textile Design, Leather Design, Fashion Communication and Accessory Design.

NIFT conducts its own entrance exam and without clearing that exam you cannot get admission in NIFT. UCEED and JEE Mains are completely different exams and NIFT do not take any of them into consideration for the admission.
