Admission to NIFT Bangalore BDes is based on rank secured in NIFT entrance exam. Candidates who gets shortlisted will then have to appear for the Situation Test. The NIFT General- All Indian round 1 cutoff for 2023 was 169. Candidates under this rank are eligible to appear for the next round.

The mess food at NIFT, Mumbai is considered to be the really good, where they serve a variety of dishes both in veg and non-veg.
NIFT, Mumbai also provides hostel facilities to its students, and each hostel is well-equipped with essential amenities such as a laundry room, internet lab, library, TV room, basketball court, and gymnasium.

The top level faculty members of NIFT Bangalore are around 50, whereas the students are around 1000 in numbers making it approximately 1:20 ratio of faculty members to students. The faculty members here are really determined, highly educated and specialised in their domains which in turn helps to build the strong foundation of those students studying. The data shows that designer students' average salary is 3 LPA, whereas the Production students' average salary is nearly 4 LPA, ranking them slightly higher, in NIFT Bangalore.
