The National Institute of Technology (NIFT) will conduct the Situation Test for the B. Des programme tentatively in the 4th week of April 2023. The Situation Test will be held offline at various NIFT campuses. The candidate is given the option to select their preferred test centre soon after declaration of NIFT written exam results. On the day of the exam, the candidate needs to report at the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned in the admit card. Note that candidates who arrive at the exam centre after commencement of the exam will not be allowed entry inside the exam hall.

When filling out the NIFT 2024 application form, you will have to upload your photograph and signature. The accepted specifications for the documents are mentioned below. Photograph - Upload only a recent scanned passport size color photograph. The accepted file size should be no more than 100KB. The accepted format is jpeg only. Signature - The scanned signature should be in Blue/Black ink on white background. The accepted file size is 100KB (maximum). The file should be in jpeg format only.

The candidate can fill out the application form even if they don't meet the NIFT 2024 eligibility criteria. But note that the documents and the information provided by the candidate in the application form will be cross checked. And if any discrepancy is found, the candidate can be disqualified at any stage of the application process. So, it is recommended that the candidate carefully goes through the prescribed eligibilty criteria before filling out the form. Note that the NIFT 2024 eligibility criteria is programme-specific.

Yes, the National Institute of Fashion Technology will allow candidates with late fees. The late fee application window will open once the deadline to fill out the NIFT 2024 application form with regular fee closes. The start and last date to fill out the NIFT 2024 application form with late fee will be notified by the institute before the regular application form closes or sometime thereabout. The late fee for NIFT 2024 will be INR 5,000. The late fee has to be paid in addition to the application fee, which is INR 3000 for open category candidates.

As per the current procedure, there is no scope to pay the NIFT 2024 application fee using demand draft. In fact, the candidate has to pay the NIFT application fee 2024 online using online payment gateway, including credit card, debit card, or net banking. Note that unless the application fee has been paid successfully, the NIFT 2024 application form filling process will not be considered complete.
