You can! But for Branch Sliding, you will have to perform exceptionally well in your first year. Remember, 1st year is common for all the branches and your competition is not just your Branch, but, the complete Batch of yours. So, it takes a lot out of you to make it possible. But, as I said, it is very much possible in NITs to change course after 1st year on the basis of Merit.

115 is the minimum eligibility score for JEE Advance. Students who have scored 115 or more than that are eligible for JEE Advance this year.
Keeping in mind this year JEE (Main) paper analysis, last year cut offs and only your JEE Main marks (boards not included), you can expect a rank above 75000+
Some of the institutes you might get with this score are
National Institute of Technology, Dimapur, Spot Round
National Institute of Technology, Srinagar, Spot Round
National Institute of Technology, Agartala, Spot Round

As it is very difficult to explain cutoffs of all 30 NITs
On the basis of this year JEE (Main) paper analysis and last year cut offs , and also including the weightage of your 10+2 marks you can expect a AIR GEN rank above 85000+
